The Singapore Technology Communities Go Global

KLAMPENBORG, DenmarkNov. 29, 2016PRLog — Research, innovation and enterprise are cornerstones of Singapore’s national strategy to develop a knowledge-based innovation-driven economy and society. Public investment in research and innovation has grown over the last 25 years. Under the last five-year Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) 2015 Plan, the Singapore government committed $16 billion (2011 – 2015) to establish Singapore as a global research and development (R&D) hub. The government will be sustaining its commitment to research, innovation and enterprise, and will invest $19 billion for the RIE2020 Plan over 2016 to 2020. [1]

“You cannot conquer the world with brilliant technology alone”, says Zeenath Kuraisha, CEO of APACSMA. “It takes brilliant business models and the ability to break into foreign markets. We are therefore excited to be able to offer Hans Peter Bech’s three workshops in Singapore in March and October 2017. Hans Peter’s workshops are focused on how to build business models around great products, how to scale the business through partnerships and how to break into foreign markets.”

The workshops Business Model Management (2 days), Building Successful Partner Channels (2 days) and Entering Foreign Markets (1 day) are designed to address the challenges facing technology companies that need to grow beyond the small Singapore market and capture shares of foreign markets. The workshop curricula are designed for the information technology community and address the specific challenges of small companies that need to grow fast on a tight budget.

“I am looking forward to working with the Singapore technology community,” says Hans Peter Bech. “Singapore represent less than 0,5% of global demand for information technology and the companies here have the exact same challenges that we have in Denmark. Our companies must take on foreign markets very early in their life cycle. That’s what I call ‘Going global on a shoestring.’ We have found ways to do that and are excited to share this insight with the Singapore technology community.”
